Just saying hello, read a few posts - seems like a nice place to be

 

As a first-time Skoda owner, I did a bit of a search for various things and came across BRISKODA.

 

Pretty much fell in love with the car  (Octavia VRS, 2012) on first sight & very happy with it except for the fact I seem to have destroyed the passenger window drive mechanism trying to open it when iced up a couple of months ago.

 

Looking forward to learning/helping!

@Breezy_Pete repairs window motors, but I don't think he covers the Octavia.

He's still a noted expert on the subject and might be worth contacting on here, though.

My last car, an old Citroen C4, I spent an enjoyable weekend replacing the N/S wing mirror and window drive, so know how tricky some of it can be.
Three weeks later, the car shredded it's cambelt despite not (quite) being due for replacement and had to get scrapped.
