Hello there, New Skoda driver here. Love my Fabia and want to get it hooked up to Andriod Auto. My phone is a few years old and cant seem to connect with the system. If I want to upgrade my phone, what are the best specs for getting one that works easily with the infomation system.

What is your infotainment system (modelu number and software version) and what is your phone (model and OS version) and what do you meany by connecting phone with the system?

So the system is the Amundsen.

 

Device part number 5Q0035819C

Software 0456

 

And the phone is Samsung A21s,

 

using Android 12.

 

It just will never connect via the Android Auto or Smartlink 

 

Tried multiple cables but still cant get it to register on the Amundsen 

 

 

 

So I bought a brand new phone with 5G to try and get this working. Is it possible I need to update my infotainment software

To all you techys out there this may sound like a stupid question,but how do I update my software on my Fabia if needed?

So I updated the firmware ok, but when I plug my phone in to try and get android auto working it still won't recognise my phone. All I get is this ...

 

 

Any ideas on how I might get this working, using the super fast cable that came with the phone

If you are talking about your infotainment system, then it's via USB or SD Card (depends on the system)

You would need to hold down the Menu or Setup button for 10 seconds to enter the engineering menu, and locate Software Train, then post image if this is the update you want.
