As my title my car has no reverse lights I changed the bulbs just incase was them it's not. 

Could it be the fuse if so any one know which fuse it will be? 

Or is it more likely to be the switch on the gear box or something else?

Often a wiring break adjacent to the cable entry of the connector of switch on gearbox. Worth eyeballing before buying anything.
