Drivers Door Electric Window Switch

Featured Replies

Two of the clips on the plastic surround for the electric window switch on my Fabia II 2013 are broken.  So the switch does not clip into the door trim and sometimes comes out when operating the switch.  I could glue it down, but would rather replace the whole switch.  I've searched on line for a replacement switch, but none match mine.  It is just two switches, one for each of the driver's and passenger's door, mounted in a small cup-like surround and the terminal on the back.  See the photo.  Every switch online either does not have the surround or has four switches (for the rear windows).  Can anyone provide any info on this and advise how I can purchase the right switch either new or used.  Thanks.DSC_1003.thumb.JPG.54ebcf037b057b58af2e327508c56a64.JPG

Look on the back of the trim bit, there's almost certainly a part number on it somewhere.

Mine went a few years ago and had the same issue,if I remember was quoted £90 for the complete switch from seallers, but i bought a replacement double switch for around £10 fitted it to the old surround and then used some contact glue to hold the frame in the door lasted 12 years untill car was wrote off, seen a few on the bay around £40 not sure if a vw caddy one will fit does look the same but different part number

This is brilliant!  Thanks for the replies.  I should have looked closer to see if the switch and surround were separate, but it just seemed odd that all the online hits were for the pair of switches and never for the surround.  The Caddy one looks to be a wee bit different underneath at one end.  It may fit, but I don't want to take the chance.  I would glue the one I've already got too, but like the idea of it properly clipping in in case of future repairs.  I had spotted the £40 combo and will go for that.  Thanks again for all your replies and advice.  Much appreciated.
