CAN gateway coding from GW MQB low til GW MQB high

Featured Replies

My car is a Skoda Octavia 2,0 TDI st. car.

I am adding a multifunctional steering wheel.

So I have changed my CAN gateway from

5Q0 907 530 K
(GW MQB LOW)

to

5Q0 907 530 AC
(GW MQB HIGH)

And I am getting a lot of errors.

I thought that it would be enough to coding the CAN gateway

FROM

030100040F087300EF00024E1C0F00010001050000000000000000000000

to

030000040B087300EF00024C080F00010001000000000000000000000000

However it did not fix the problem.

Any ideas how to fix them?

I have included my logs octavia.txt was from the old CAN gateway and octavia errors.txt is from after the change of the CAN gateway module.

This is my first post, so I hope I did everything right.

There is a lot more involved than just coding...

You have about 5 different parts to the gateway setup

Coding

Adaptations

Dataset

Component protection

SWAP

Coding and adaptations may change from a low to a high module.

Dataset is vehicle specific and must be done with a tool like ODIS or VCP

Component protection can only be done with ODIS

SWAP codes must only be done with ODIS.

You are a long way off having a complete working car at the moment.

Your best bet is to find out what the direct replacement for your car is from the etka catalog and then find someone with ODIS who can run SVM/Module replacement on the gateway - that way everything will be perfect and working. Else you will be struggling for a long time.
