Electrical Issues

Featured Replies

Hi, this is my first post here. I am wondering if anyone can help me. We have an issue with our 2013 Skoda Fabia. Last Sunday we were driving along and the car had a loss of power and the EPC light came on. We pulled into a petrol station and the engine was running but sounded like it was shuddering. But when the ignition was turned off and engine turned back on the car ran as normal and the light stayed off . We thought it could be the ignition coils but today when going to work on the car we turned the engine on and none of the dashboard lights would come on and the engine would start but cut out after a few seconds. We tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and have checked all the connections on this and have still had no luck. Just wondering if anyone has any idea what the problem might be?

Sounds like a battery/alternator gremlin to me start checking battery condition/alternator charging voltage with a multimeter
