Brake pad warning

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm wondering if a 2015 Octavia RS has any form of brake pad wear warning in the car info system or I just need to listen for the pads squealing when they get low?

Thanks

There's a pad wear sensor on the front brake pad.

If the pads are squealing you are metal to metal.

If you think they are low either visually inspect or ask a garage to do it. Will only take them 2 seconds.

They should give you a rough estimate of how many miles are left in them

mine where almost gone on mr rs but the cable on the pad wasn't cut so it did not trigger the warning,

the person doing the technical control of the car saw it.

So be carreful and visually check the pad.
