Rear View Mirror USB socket

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

Ive had my windscreen replaced and I've found that the usb socket inside the casing keeps popping inwards, is there any way to stop it doing this? Is there a clip in there which AutoGlass may have damaged?

Also I'm noticing an increase in drive in the centre of the lane warnings, so I'm wondering if they didn't recalibrate the camera properly 🤔

Any ideas of how much a stealer would charge for a recalibration and to replace the usb socket?

TIA 😊

There was a thread on the socket problem not long ago. A helpful member (can't recall who unfortunately) mentioned that it's possible to remove or at least lower the casing by squeezing in each side and wiggling it downwards to access the socket - it worked for me and I was able to push the socket back into place. I then plugged in my dashcam lead while holding socket from inside to prevent it pushing back in. I should have superglued the socket for a more permanent fix at the time, might do that eventually. It's just a niggly design fault.

Sorry, can't help on the camera calibrations...

Just go back to the ones that changed your windscreen. I had mine replaced too and got warranty. They must do the recalibration perfectly and if it isn’t they must redo it. Mines working perfect after the change.
