I've had my Superb Sportline for a month and it's been great so far, however I parked on a slight incline going across the car today which tilted it down towards the drivers side.  When I returned to my car I opened the front passenger door and heard a slight scraping noise.  I realised it was the door catching the bonnet leaving a small chip on the paint.  It seemed whatever clearance the door normally had on the flat disappeared with the weight distribution / gravity effect changing from the slope.

 

I've checked the bonnet was shut fully and square which it was.   Are the doors easily adjustable - it just needs to move a a couple of mm.  Is this something that has happened over time do you think or will it always have been like that?  The drivers side seems to have a couple of mm more clearance from the bonnet.

 

Still under used approved warranty so will need to get them to sort it.

Yes mine was parked in the sun when it happened. It has had clearance since then but its not been as hot as that day.

Mine did this last year. I loosened the two torx bolts on the bonnet hinge and moved the bonnet forward about 1 mm and this fixed the problem. Hasn't come back again.
