Hi,

looking to get this firmware update please if someone can provide?

although my issue is with crackling related to Apple carplay, and ive read on an apple forum that this is related to an ios update on the phones rather than the car’s firmware?

thanks

Thanks for your help @Tdawber . The firmware update worked a treat!

I really think the dealerships need to be aware of this fix as my local one in Perth, Scotland, didn't realise that there was a problem, despite me asking them to install a firmware update.

I’ll give this as feedback for the dealership.

most dealerships arent interested in this issue regarding the firmware update…

Thankyou @torakiki111 and @Tdawber for your help. I now have an updated and skip free Android Auto.

I made a few mis-steps along the way, but the magic formula for me was:

SD card <16Gb, format to FAT32 and ensure Allocation Unit size is 4096.

Unzip the files and put them on the card and ensure the files are in the root (5 folders and the txt file).

Insert SD card, long press the Setup button - update and accept the options. (I kept failing at this point but the formatting option above solved it for me)

So far, it seems to have fixed all my issues.

Thanks, that hint on the long press helped. Worked like a charm on 969 from 2020.

Would you mind sending it to me too? Just bought a 2018 Fabia but it’s on 8740 software. Need to update to 8755 to stop my CarPlay cracking!

Hello all,

I currently have MEN2-EU-SKGPx_P9160L Train and MU Version 8724 installed and I'm struggling with crackling/static/distorted audio when using the USB link.

Does anyone have a file that I can use to update my firmware and get rid of this crackling?

Ben

message me a gmail email and i can share the files on googledrive

Just wondering if anyone has any more issues.  I now can’t see carplay.  I think it’s the apple update to 17.5.1 and the infotainment software not keeping up with the apple changes.  I have

made a complaint to the motor ombudsman about difficulty obtaining software updates.  Be great if others did also.

I am using 8755 and 17.5.1 “without problems”. That means it generally works but it has always had issues from time to time. Does anyone know if 8755 still is the latest version?

@varooom please could you send me a link to download?

Much appreciated

Hi, not sure if I replying to correct topic (saw my version mentioned so giving it a shot), but I have Octavia III 2018, I am having issues with some accessory for wireless android auto. Thought of updating the firmware to see if makes a difference...

Mine is MEN2_EU_SKGPX_P7381L, are there any updates? MIB Helper says that I should look for MEN2_EU_SKGPX_P9160L but unfortunately can't find that version (or any MEN2 version for that matter) on MIB Solutions...

Can anyone help me ? (don't have gmail though)
