Do VW/Skoda just use the DSG box?  If so I wouldn’t have an issue with that as the gearbox on Skippy is the best auto I’ve driven.👍

    No.

    In countries where people want reliability & actual proper emission figures and fuel consumption & the World Wide Light Vehicle Harmonised test kidology does not concern them there are still 1.4 TSI's with 8 speed Automatics with Torque Converters.

     

    But the issue is just VW just has not developed efficient low emission engines without using electrification in the way of mild hybrid or PHEV that will get the WLTP figures for Euto 7.

    Other manufacturers will.
