Spare cable and connector question

Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone help me with the following please,

Behind the front passenger side fog lamp plastic blanking cover, I've discovered a cable and plug with a clip, but not sure of where it should go.

Tracing it back there is another wire that goes off that to one of the front horns.  The car doesn't have an alarm or sensors inside the car, so wondering if my Octavia should have an alarm and this plugs into it?  Both horns work ok and there are no warning lights on the dash for anything else.

I thought it might be a connector for a fog lamp but can't see one on the other side, although I tried a spare foglamp from another vehicle of the same age but it wouldn't quite fit.

I've attached an image and wondering if anyone can shed some light?  Can send more photos if needed.

Many thanks

Al

IIRC it's the external temperature sensor and it plugs into the back of the bumper bar.  I'll try to remember later to look up a diagram for you.
