Featured Replies

Hi All

Just picked up new Fabia color model and looking to see what skoda app to install ?

Does anyone know if I need to install MySkoda , Skoda Connect LITE  ?

Many thanks Steve

Hey,

It should be "My Skoda Essentials" which is compatible with the Fabia range

Thanks installed my skoda  fabia is not supported

My skoda essentials connects fine but very limited functionality for the fabia

"This Vehicle is not fully compatible with the app  The range of services is limited .

can see a vehicle health report

vehicle details VIN etc

That's about it

Anything else I can do for more functionality ?

Thanks Steve

Hmm that's strange.

To be honest when I first got my Fabia, the app was just called MySkoda. But it recently rebranded to "My Skoda Essentials". For me it has the exact same functionality, however, it's not very well spec'd compared to other car manufacturers though.

You should be able to;

See and locate your car on a map

Sound horn / flash lights remotely to help find your car

Unlock and lock remotely via the app

Receive alarm notifications for the car

View vehicle health report

Check car status (vehicle locked, open windows, open doors etc)

Some of these features may depend on the type of entertainment system you have and whether you have a Skoda connect plan - although on some trims this comes with no additional fees for 1 year

Hi my Fabia is a colour model and comes with a bolero entertainment system

Do you know if I can use Skoda care connect plan with this unit ?

Looks like Skoda do a 1 month free trial then £54 per year

EDIT bought 1 month free trial can now see more data in My Skoda Essential as above

Don't think I will pay for it but will see if I use app much before making decision

Thanks Steve

Mine is still just "MySkoda" I ended up paying for the online services, remote locking has saved my bacon a few times already.
