Flappy Paddles

Featured Replies

Silly question, but I am picking up a Octavia VRS 4x4 and it has the paddles on the steering wheel, but cannot

see how to get it into Manuel mode, on the gear leaver (if you can call it a leaver) it has "P" "N" and "R" and the park is

above the leaver but cannot see a way to get into Manual ?

Thanks

For me, I put it into manual by just pulling on the paddle on the steering wheel when in "S" or "D". When wanting to go back to S or D from manual, I just pull back on the gear selector (back into S or D).

Just flick the left paddle as if you're going to drop down a gear.

No point, the lever doesn't move left or right.

Yes I knew the Skoda one does not move L/R but I was just saying what the Leon did

Mine is a manual, but I did drive a DSG Octavia Mk4 for a few months.

In S mode, if you use the paddles it stays in ‘manual’ mode. In D mode, it returns to auto after a little while.

Heres a couple of pages from the digital user manual I downloaded a while back…
