Fabia mk1 (BBZ) engine jerky running, poor performance

Featured Replies

Hello friends, I have been dealing with the troublesome engine of fabia with BBZ engine code for a long time. There is an obvious performance drop in the vehicle in general and sometimes the engine runs very jerkily and does not move forward. The jerky running problem usually starts when the engine light starts flashing. When I take it to the mechanic, the masters are not interested. Does anyone know what the problem is ?

A coil pack?

You have an engine fault, and seem reluctant to spent money on getting it diagnosed.

Very likely.

Fault codes should tell which one.

No, I can't find what exactly is the problem with my car. Probably because of this problem my car got stuck on the road. Engine top cover was opened, maintained, timing system, gasket etc. replaced, iridium spark plugs installed. I paid for the tow truck because it was stuck on the road many times. No error code, when the engine light starts flashing, it works as in the video. A few private repair shops I went to said the fault might be in the electrical system. When I go to the electrician, he tells me to come when the vehicle is in trouble, but I can't keep up with that time because it doesn't work like this all the time. There is no error code in the reader in the private repair shop. I wanted to take it to the Skoda service, but they didn't accept it because my vehicle has an LPG system. I'm thinking of changing the coils according to what the friends commenting here said. I hope my problem is solved. Thank you.

LPG is VERY hard on spark plugs and coil packs, even worse than petrol, I'm quite certain that you have at least one bad coil pack, you can sometimes see the insulation on top of a bad coil pack has gone lumpy where the coil pack has suffered internal overheating.

Do you find being a plonker amusing? This place is for people to come and seek helpful car advice , so if you have nothing constructive to add, why not shut yer pie-hole, eh? You probably made this new member feel about as welcome as a hedgehog in a condom factory.

I have a suspicion that Paws4Thot is KenONeill using a different account for some reason, seems to have a very similar 'style'. First joined a few days after Ken last visited.

Hello friends, it has been a long time since I entered the forum. After asking this question, I bought a new coil pack and replaced it with the ones in my vehicle. My problem was not solved. The problem was caused by my vehicle's injector socket and cables. In the LPG system, the LPG injectors are connected to the signal part of the gasoline injector socket. The problem was caused by oxidation of the places where the cables were connected to each other.
