Hi guys. I have a 19 plate Octavia vrs estate. The washer pump has decided to stop playing. I have checked the fuse (42). It’s fine but swapped it anyway. I have changed the pump. Bench test both old and new and both work. But still no noise from the pump. I’m now being told it could be the stalk assembly. New one is over £500. The car is just out of warranty and had only done 15 k. I don’t have or want to spend £500 on a guess. Any ideas please.  

Put a tester on the wires at the pump end, operate the stalk and see if there is any reading.  Test for output at the stalk end. 

I have similar problem and just created a new post. I intend getting a new pump but won’t fit it until I’ve checked whether there is any power getting to it when the stalk switch is operated.
