Featured Replies

Hi Guys

i Have issue with my skoda 2015 automatic the oil filter gets really dirty and clogged even though  i do the service every 6000-7000 miles  and also i have coolant lose need to refill 5L of coolant every month, no visible leak done pressure test from my local garage can not spot any leak. anyone had same issue or any suggestions  thanks

Welcome.

Best say what petrol or diesel engine you have, what size of TSI or TDI?

How many miles has it done?

hi thanks for your reply its 1.6tdi diesel and done 204k miles

Are you filling the Coolant to MAX and then it is going down to below MIN & then you fill to MAX again.

The correct level can be between MAX & MIN,  but if it is going down all the time to MIN or below then that does need adressed.

I know nothing about 1.6 TDI,s and EGR,s or the likes and leaks.

Is this a taxi with all these miles, and have you done the miles?

Does the car do lots of Regens.   Is it lots of short journeys, or sitting ticking over, or longer trips with the engine always up to heat?

Someone will be along that knows about 1.6 TDI,s, and the issue you have.

i fill it to the max and i refill when the Coolant check light comes on,

i bought the car on 173k  miles and yes it is a taxi and i do only part time so i normally do mix journey local and long runs.

i been refilling over a year now since i bought the car, i bought it from a person so no garage warranty or anything?

Any signs of oil in the water or vice versa?

Heater working ok?

haven't inspected water will do a inspection in the evening today,

Heater works fine , but i did AC Regas about 8 months ago and it does not do the cooling now i don't know if that is related to this or not
