Felicia pcv valve ?

Featured Replies

Do any of you know if the Felicia 1600 engine has a pcv valve please thanks in advance.

No actual valve that can be actuated. But -

It does have a pvc system with a oil catch can on the back of the engine, as seen as you have recently had the engine out, oil could have got into the system if it was laid on its side, and has now clogged it up.

Is that the pipe from the catch box with a filter on? Does it not need to go to the back of the inlet manifold?

It's a factory hose below the oil cap and drives the emissions to the air intake manifold to be burned later (Euro rules) in the combustion chamber.

Some say these "lubricate" the throttle but all i have seen is sludge.

Some drives install oil catch can (i have opened a thread in this forum) and some put a small filter to collect this muck.

It's not environment good to release them down on the road.

Yes.

On the 1600 there might be a filter inside this box, i'm not 100% on this, because I have never seen inside one off them, and there is no way off looking inside of one without destroying it.
