Footwell lights are a 'posh' touch when opening doors at night:

oooooooh footwell lights... i want! i want! where do i get some? and will they fit in an octy?

I quite like the look of those footwell lights... where do u get them from, how much and how easy are they to fit?

I think someone might have to get a photo tutorial up now :P

:iagree: Pull your finger out Richard! :)

Have a search for footwell lights!! Tutorial is already up.. i made it!!!!

Edit (ok i felt nice.. found it for you....)

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/fabia/footwell-lighting-nsf-56k/30785/?highlight=Footwell+Lights

Long and the short of it is... tap off the interior light, and as far as bulbs etc. go use anything you like, could be LEDs, can be 'posh' like mine in standard lights or you could go for flash with coloured LEDs, what ever is to your own taste.

In answer to another question... yes these can be fitted to any car you like (will have to find wiring of existing interior lights)... but if you follow my tutorial... any VAG with that particular interior light, so octy, fabia, superb, golf, passat etc etc.

Oh and if fitted from existing interior light these wil come on when car is unlocked and dim down etc etc!! So will look very OEM

see few posts above for guide and feel free anyone to PM me for more info

Oh and just to give you a taster of what i've done in the golf (not to most people's taste and i have actually removed them... but shows what you can wire up)

IMO after seeing other cars, doing the fabia then making the mistake in colour on the golf... standard lights look best as it looks OEM then.
