New Karoq 2023 fuel mileage range display

Featured Replies

Hello

We've had our new Karoq for about a month and are mystified why the fuel/mileage range gauge remains, when the tank is fully filled up, at either 380 or 390 miles. The car can then be driven for about 80 miles before the range gauge starts to reduce incrementally by 5 or 10 miles. This seems really odd. Is this 'normal' for a Skoda? Strangely although the car shows range in 5 or 10 increments, the Skoda app linked to the car shows the exact range left. As an example the car range is displaying 310 miles but the apps shows 307.

Can anyone offer an explanation?

Thanks.

Yes totally normal with virtually all VW Group cars including Skoda

Fuel gauge doesn't move for first 80-110 miles when full.  Also tends not to notice if put small amount in (below about 5 litres)

Range is just an estimate based on recent consumption, I had a Skoda where after driving in urban traffic would show 380 miles when fully filled with petrol, but showed over 500 miles when been in rural areas.

Didn't know about app, probably a conversion from Km, but never used app to check consumption.
