Hi all, 

 

I've just had a new tailgate painted and have fitted it, but not sure how to approach remounting the badge. 

 

As seen in the pictures, it has two prongs to fit the holes: do I just use some double sided sticky foam to help it stay on? Obviously it need to be as waterproof as possible...

 

The prongs aren't threaded or anything and I can't see any screws left over to secure it at the back

 

Any experience or tips much appreciated! 

Yes, a sticky pad is needed but I've always used double sided carpet tape to good effect, it's even stronger and stickier!

this sticks **** to a blanket............proper trim adhesive tape which is easy to apply and form around the curved shape of the badge.

Best stuff I used was the number plate sticky pads cut them into the shape needed give the badge a good clean with alcahol and the same with the tailgate if it's a sunny day no problem if it's a cool one just warm the tailgate before sticking badge on with a hair dryng  NOTE get it correct as you will break the badge trying to get it off if wrong
