Radio Code for Fabia

Featured Replies

Anyone know where the code is? I have all of the service books. On the maintenance schedule there appears to be a four digit code on the inside back cover. Is this it? My dealer "forgot" to re -input at the service(

On my spare key I have a clear plastic strip that has all the codes on it. Its usually closed over and snaps shut.Have partially obscured the numbers for security, but there is little difference in the layout between either of the two I've got. (Thanks to the others for protecting me! must have been a bit off kilter when I posted that!)

If you don't have it you can phone Skoda customer services and they will ask you a few numbers (VIN, registration, etc) and hand over your code.

Hi Quinten,

Thats what I thought. Apparently they dont have access to this and it can only be requested by a skoda dealer. This must be a pain in the a*** for them ,I mean every time you remove your battery you have to recode the radio? BTW I dont have the second key. The procedure is such situations is for me to go to the dealer ,he pulls the radio, gets the serial number, faxes c/s and they at some time in the future give the code out!

this is true chris have you had the car from new? the radio code is usually on th inside cover of the radio manual, or if the dealer is any good they will have kept a record on there pooter, btw we normally get a readio code request back the same day.

I have removed your attachment for now. If you'd be so kind to make a few items obscure and repost :)

When I picked up my Furby vRS - dealer told me that the radio which came with the car will always recognise that it belongs to the vehicle it was registered with, therefore there is no need to input the code. Is this true or a myth?

Thanks.

I think thats right for the fabia's..............
