Hello Guys!

 

I have been looking for a safe spit to put the jackstands on, when I lift he car up by the sills on ,on the side of the car. 

 

After watching a video of Humble mechanic on youtube about the topic i have tried the same. Putting a jack stand on the spit where lower control arm and subframe meets. I have succeded bur a bit unsure about the longterm use of the same point. Does it bend or damage the subframe?

Heya. Well, that's exactly where I ususally put my axle stands, and I've not ever had a problem. The subframe is (obviously) pretty strong, designed to take a high loading, so I can't really see anywhere better?

 

 

What about the rear? I was thinking of lifting/jacking the rear of the car on this point . Looks like a solid piece .

I have seen a guy lifting the rear end on the point . Any thoughts? 

I always lift on the towbar.
