MIC problem - Kamiq 1.5 TSI Monte Carlo

Hi all, have anyone occurred problem with their mic?

Mine is being muted. I've already been at my service partner 4 times regarding this issue, the last one occurred after they replaced a charging box for towing, and the latest "feedback" I got is that they have received a confirmation from manufacturer that it's a "known" issue which I don't believe, as if it was a known one it would be mentioned somewhere... It's getting really frustrated that car after 3years, 38k KM  is getting a "known" issue.

Does this happen when you're using Apple Carplay? If yes, then it is a known issue.

No, I'm using Android Car, but even when not using it, mic doesn't work. Yesterday they have ordered a spare part although the explanation was like "MIC as a device is working properly, it's not broken, it just have a problem communicating with a controller"... When asked about what part was ordered got answer that it will be displayed on document once the replacement is done...

Update: they have replaced the Online Connectivity Control Module(5WA035282). Tried googling it by part number to see is it really a "common" issue but no luck 
Will see how long it will last till MIC stops "communicating" with it again....

Hi Veli88, just wondered if the online control module fixed the MIC snag? We are picking up a new Kamiq today and thought I had better watch out for this, as it is apparently a known problem it would be nice to know the solution.

Hi

Veli88's post is old with a 2020  (or were about) Kamiq.

All known issues of that era will have been addressed by now in new builds even if the fix is different to what Veli88 received.

Congrats on your purchase I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the info, it is highly appreciated. Yes the original post was in 2020 but the fix was only about 6 months ago in Sept 2023, but no update since. One would assume it is now fixed but you never know which I why I asked the question. I know from experience with other manufactures in the VAG group  that they often leave small snags for ages before they address them in production. Personally  I would still be interested to  hear what Veli88 thinks.
