I'm looking for instructions about how to remove that unit for the front doors since I wan't to add some damping material for sound improvement. Last time I was messing around with a window lift it was with the first Octavia generation and it was kind of a mess^^ From the picture this actually looks designed more service friendly but not 100% self explaining since I don't understand how I unlock the clamps from the window before pulling out that big assy. With the old generation I had to secure the window in the upper position with some tape and then I had to loosen the clamps before removing the rails.

 

As for the rest I think it's pretty idiot proof. Just turn all the knobs 90 degrees and the assy should become loosen.

Sorry I can't edit my first post - I found some better pictures from a 2nd hand parts dealer. The unit shows the lift in a specific position and it seems you can reach the clamps/holder through little holes (highlighted yellow), probably to unlock them from the window. I still don't know how to unlock that holder from the window part but I'd guess it's just some sort of locking nose I have to loosen with a flatbed screwdriver. From there I think I have to move up the window by hand and temporary fix it with some tape
