No Nav Database - but previously had 22.6

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I'm new here, thanks to all the contributors thus far on Infotainment, as I have experienced most of the issues with my vehicle, especially as its a 07/2021 model!!

On a recent trip to Europe my Skoda Sat Nav was working on the outward journey, however an OTA update whilst in Europe and then Bye Bye to my Navigation Databsae. Can I just put the latest database download from the portal into my car? Is the Navigation Database version irrespective of Car Software version?

The Dealer has never seen the Navigation Database disappear. Booked in with Master Tech 19/10/23 for 2 days - Car not under warranty - 68K miles just over 2 years old.

I was driving the vehicle as Guest in Europe, so don't know if that would have caused issues. I am know Primary User having found my 2nd key. No OTA updates since becoming Primary User as of yesterday evening, maybe time will tell?

I have done the On/Off 10 second reset - same issues.

Device Part No 5E3035816D

Hardware H56 Software 1803

Display Unit H/W H45 Software 2092

Nav Databse 'Blank'

Media Codec 3.1.4

Many Thanks

You can download it again using your vin number should you want to as a fall back position. Have you tried setting the car back up so it knows you as a regular and registered owner to see what happens?

Have you adjusted the privacy settings? I see that you have quite an old software/firmware revision, so it maybe a case that you need to have a new module & software/firmware revision.

Thanks TW, I shall install the latest navigation software first, over a few days travel.. Then I will Reset to Factory Settings and sees what happens.

I have had a flick through the privacy settings, but I am on the least restrictive one.

Even though I am on old software/hardware, I now do not have the pop pop sound, my infotainment system does not reset constantly, now, i don't get intermittent alarms about front sensor, lights SOS, the SOS doesn't tell me anymore its broken, In Fact the infotainment has been behaving quite well until it ditched my navigation database.

I'll report back my findings.
