Hi all,

 

Sadly, my car failed it's MOT today (broken front spring, leaky rear shock). Does anyone know what length shock I should look to get to replace it? I've found two different lengths, on is 400mm in length, and another is 625mm in length. I've not made any changes to the suspension itself, so it is all stock kit, no upgrades or mods.

When you say 400mm/625mm, is that the front shock absorbers because you say your rear shock is leaking?

 

Bilstein B4 19-230542 rear shock absorbers might be suitable. You can get them on amazon.de (the german version of amazon) for 96.63 Euros for two (about £84.26)

It is definitely the rear shock that I searched for. This is the page I got my results on...

Ah,ok... so they are the same shock, it's just they are the max and min length measurements...

If you require springs I have a genuine set from a 2015 VRS petrol estate which you can have, just cover postage. 

 

Good time to fit lowering springs if you are going that way though!
