Enyaq iV Software Issues

Featured Replies

Hi, wasn't sure where to post this but I've had my Enyaq for over a year now and all's good apart from a few software issues. One thing that is bugging me though is that the driver's electric seat starts to move on it's own when I unlock the car. Sometimes it moved backgrounds to my preset 1, sometimes forwards to my preset 2 and sometimes does nothing. Skoda seem to say this is normal function but I am not convinced, as makes no sense and happens randomly. The only thing I can think of is that there is a way on the key fob to change the presets before you get in the car but I am not 100% sure if this is correct. Does anyone know if there is a way to move the seat to one of the presets from the key fob, as that would help to solve the mystery? Otherwise it is a software glitch!

I think you can link the seat position to one of the keys, so two different drivers can get in and the seat will be in their desired position.

I haven’t done this as both keys are usually in the car at the same time as my wife brings the second key in case I lost mine.

Thanks @kenfowler3966 do you have any idea on how this works, I can't seem to find any info online on how it?

Not sure but this has been a Skoda feature for some years now to be able to personalise the keys to match 1 and 2 on the seat setting

Are you opening the car with the same key each time?

I'm not familiar with the Enyaq but if that's the actual issue then look up personalisation in the online owners manual. It involves Skoda connect - something I don't really want to talk anyone thru as the software doesn't behave itself ( no two registrations are ever the same with me ! )   Did you have the car from new? if so then someone must have set this up. If it's a used car then the previous owner probbly set it up - it needs clearing.

Basically you can assign a key to yourself and set various functions to that key. When I open the car with my key, I have it setup so the infortainment will greet me with my name, the temperature will be set, the radio volume will be set and the seat - as you say, the seat adjusts when you open the door, but only if using a different key from the last time the car was opened.

My wife keeps asking me this it auto adjusts the passenger seat sometimes too.

Well I did figure it out and got it working correctly, so the seat would move to preset 1 or 2 depending on what key fob was used and was working really well for me, as I had one key and my wife the other, until for some reason Skoda decided to completely remove it in the last software update!

it was removed when the software went from 2.4 to 3.0 sadly 😞
