HI , i have a 2023 Octavia vrs iv estate , does any one know on the auto dsg box that when you are in drive and you flick the lever back one it goes into sports mode but when doing this if you pull it a little bit further there is another click , does this do anything as I've asked Skoda and the didn't even know it did that.

I think the second click is meant for when you want to go between drive and reverse so you don't click it twice. 

Hi Simon. A bit off topic but how much is your Tax on new car, did you have extras that pushed it above 40k and the 5 year extra £390 tax? Mine is being delivered in a few weeks and nobody seems to know the list price, not even Skoda 🤷‍♂️ many thanks.

I specced mine to keep it under the 40K and gave up DCC however when it came in they registered it at the current list price which was >41K so hit with the extra tax. I was fuming as I could have had my DCC and a few other options. I pay £560 a year.

Thanks John. That’s really interesting and what I’ve been thinking but not even Skoda can give me a current list price. I already have a 2021 VRS petrol and feel I may as well keep it if I’m going to have to pay the extra tax on the iv as I’m not sure I’ll be saving very much after the trade in and £560 a year for 5 years. It will be a shame as I’ve looked forward to getting it. 😬

Nope. Reverse is by shifting forward. Repeat the backward shift and you are back out of sports into normal

I have no problem at all.changing drive to sports.i have a vrs 4x4 estate diesel 2022.
