Rear end suspension / chassis overhaul - part numbers required

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I have finally decided to sort the rear out on my octavia, due to tracking being impossible (seized bolts). I envisage keeping the car another 3-5 years, warranting the expense.

I'm now looking at what else that needs to come off I might aswell replace.

I'm going to do the rear suspension, every single component including genuine bolts. I'm replacing all the obvious interlinked parts that attach to or near the rear arms. I won't drop the subframe, unless there is some evidence the bushes wear out a lot.

I'm struggling to find an easy to use overview of all the bolts I need. I have the eccentric ones already (genuine), but the rest I want to make sure I have a new one to go on.

Whilst I have all these bits off, is it worth doing anything else? Some corrosion treatment?

Once I have all the bolts and nuts, plus all the components, I'm going to write a guide as nothing has come up, though I suspect a few have replaced these parts before.

Thanks,

Taz
