Am almost at the point of purchasing a unit off a member but we are both wanting to know if taking the faulty unit out of my car and putting replacement in will it work without a code.I am aware that the car remembers its original radio so code not required . 

If the code is not known how easy is it to get so that unit will work.

Cheers for the reply. On the Web there is a site where submitting serial number of VW  rns510 the code can be passed on.I assume there will be a skoda site somewhere.I dId find one but it didn't recognise Columbus rns510 unless it goes by different name.
