Car going into limp mode at 80-85 degrees from cold

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My superb mk3 goes into limp mode when it reaches 80-85 degrees from cold. Initially, after restarting  the car the issue would go away and not have any problems after. Took the car to the shop, put the tester on it, it wasn’t showing a specific error, but multiple errors for multiple sections. After a few days, the problem still persists and even escalated to rattling when i restart it(sometimes taking a few sec to do so), rattling when i push the throttle at 40-60 mph, and even turning off while driving. Do you guys have any ideas what can cause this. Mechanic said it’s a short-circuit, but i have my doubts. Thanks in advance.

Those screen errors would seem to be associated with a wheel sensor, but I don’t think that wouldn’t make the car go into limp.

Might be useful to post what the "multiple errors from multiple sections" are...

From the displayed errors it would suggest a problem from the brake module but this can be several things without knowing the error codes you help narrow it down.

I agree with @numskull that it's unlikely this would cause limp home or shutoff the engine making the other error codes important to help diagnose the problem.
