Roomster 1.2 TSI SE 2013 Towing Capability

Hi And thanks for allowing me to join the forum!!

Does anyone have any advise on the towing capacity of my car? I have a very lightweight caravan of just over 600kg. Would the car be capable of this? Apparently the towing limit is 1200kg. Thanks.

A Yeti or Fabia 1.2 TSI tows a lightweight caravan just fine.

What power of engine has your Roomster, is it 105ps?

Hi!

our Roomster is up for being USED and is regularly towing my (down rates) 1300kg boggie trailer. Works quite well with the 1.2 105hp/DSG7 combo, except gearbox seems to be jittering now. Towing the weight limit of approx 670kg in the 330kg trailer does work. 600 net kg shouldn't be an issue...

Thanks for that info! It seems as if my car may just manage the towing task then, which is encouraging! I ordered a tow bar today, so I'll see how it all goes in due course. Thanks again!

Happy to help!
We got ours fitted with the removable hook - it never goes off.
Then again, the Scout design bumbers are ugly with the cover in place, so...

Tow bar has just arrived and I'm wondering if the Roomster needs a bypass relay fitted? In the instructions it says not required, anyone have any experience in tow bar electrics?

I guess this is a common problem with the steering wheel and the silver trim piece at the bottom. Has anyone managed to find this replacement part (on AliExpress, Temu, or anywhere else)? A new one costs over €120 (https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/5e3419671vkh-steering-wheel-cover-skoda-46861.html), which seems absurdly expensive for what it is. I've seen that some people repaint it, wrap it with vinyl, or use other fixes, but I'd really prefer to find a brand-new replacement part at a rea

I recently bought a used 2024 (built 2023) diesel Octavia Vrs. Although my phone - Motorola G9play - shows on the Skoda website as compatible with the infotainment system, I have been unable to link the phone after multiple attempts. Has anyone had this as an issue and found a solution?

Hello all, I am looking for advice from the hive mind please. We have a 2012 Fabia Scout and it needs new shocks, maybe rear springs too. Most places list these items, but they are the standard Fabia items, and I believe that the Scout has a slightly different spec suspension. If that's your plan then go for it. It's a very simple and painless process from past experience but admittedly that was some time ago now since I last ran Linux. Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that.
