My Mk3 Fabia has just recently only been on or off for the climate control fans. Any ideas for an DIY fix or is it off to the garage?

If this car has manual AC then it sounds like the usual fan speed controller failure, if you like taking things apart then you should be able to replace it, maybe Google this issue.

    If it's not a manual AC with the usual fan speed controller failure then as it's VW I always suspect the computer programs, have look on the web for any reset procedures.

     

    Or if you know anyone with an appropriate VW scan tool you can look for any errors or things amiss and/or carry out a reset on the tool maybe.
