Hi! I am new to this car and was planning an engine swap it. I was thinking of a Porche 944 engine in it(only Porche engine found in my area). I was looking to find some ideas on how to make it happen. I have done a swap before, so this isn't entirely new concept to me.

Forget the Porsche motor; it's a complete boat anchor beside a Skoda 120 (or even 130) unit. Look for an Alfasud flat 4 if you want more power and to keep a bit of handling. 

Oh okay! what gearbox goes with it?

Also what is the "fixable" common problems with the 1.2? I want to over the winter without major issues😅.
