Sports Seats

Featured Replies

Does anyone have long-term experiences to relate regarding sports seats vs. standard Octavia seats?

I tested a car for the weekend that had sports seats upgrade. The back support and side bolsters wer great, but felt it was a bit hard on the hind quarters -- very firm.

I saw another thread here with someone finding the standard seats uncomfortable. Any other opinions?

I have an Octy sport and was under the impression that the seats were the same as standard, ie ambiente, after all the sport Octy is only ambiente spec. I dont think there is anything extra sporty about them.

I do find the seats comfy and agree with you when you say they are a little hard on the back section. I also find the seat base a touch on the narrow side but that might be due to the fact im a fat b****** .

The latter 2006MY Sports have the same seats as the Octavia vRS, it was a spec change a while back (bit like the Fabia Sport having vRS seats).

Damn, missed the vrs seats by one year:mad: Also didnt know the furby sport now has the vrs seats, does that mean they are the cream / black and not that nice black anymore? I always thought the furby sport interior was better than the vrs.

Hi,

I was checking the standard Ambience/Elegance seats and sport type (actually part of Sport Package) and certainly prefere the latter once.

It is true they are not very soft, but this is what makes them keeping you reasonably in one position, even during the quick turns.

I had similar (in terms of stiffnes) seats in my Calibra and really enjoyed them even for long travels.

If you want my advice then, if you like quick turns and have some money to spend - go for the sport onces.

(Personnally I do not like the colours of those form RS, but having just 150HP Estate do not have this problem).

Regards,
