Heating Blowing Cold Air

Featured Replies

Got cold air blowing in my 1.6 TDI. My mechanic has returned the following fault codes . Any ideas of possible fixes to get some warm air again ? So many different opinions over the Internet.

Looks like a problem with the servo motor controlling the RHS temperature mixing flap - either jammed in the cold position or a problem with the motor itself.

Try this first.

I’ve got cold hair blowing through the drivers side - passenger side ok. I suspect it’s the heat matrix that’s blocked but I suppose it could be this error with the motor. I’m sure the garage will run a diagnostic.

Is this a big job to fix Dave? I know replacing the heat matrix is quite a lot of labour

It's a question of getting accees to the servo motor on the side of the heater. I've only had to work on the LHS were access is relatively easy after dropping the glovebox so can't comment on the RHS.
