Timing 1.2 tsi

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2010 Roomster 1.2 tsi in which i'm fitting a new timing chain kit, i've timed up using required timing tools (cam/crank). I had to remove old chain as it was jumping when turning crank, so gently turned cam/crank separately trying not to damage any valves without chain on while lining up TDC. The question which sounds stupid is it possible to get the ignition timing out 180 degrees out on theses engines when using the right timing tools. I want to double check as i don't want to put it back together and find out it's 180 degrees out only to strip down again.

Please be gentle i have memory problems so just want to make sure.

Thank you for any help in advance,

Bob
