Issue with infotainment system

Featured Replies

Hello - the infotainment system on my car has an odd problem that I wondered if anyone else had expereinced?  I searched some threads and saw some people with issues but nothing like mine.

The screen switches on with the on off button, and the volume can be adjusted.

However - the touch screen is not working, and if I press any of the 8 buttons that are to the left and right of the screen (e.g. Car, Radio, Media etc) then nothing happens, and the manual tune button on the unit does not do anything.

With the the left hand buttons on the steering wheel I can still switch between AM, DAB, FM and change volume (but the volume button on steering wheel when pressed no longer mutes it) and the right button on the steering wheel I can manually tune.

But the left button on  the steering wheel where you can move/cycle through pre-saved stations no longer does this.

It was fine before today - a 2015 car.

Has anyone else had experienced anything similar to this?

Is there a way to reset the unit?  Maybe worth disconnecting battery for a few minutes?

Unit starts up fine - no delays or anything.

Looks to me like a faulty display unit.

Thanks for your reply.  After a little searching I think the display unit is 6V0 919 604 B.

All buttons and layout point to that being the part number.

Used ones are available on ebay but I'm guessing some coding would be needed?

Tomorrow I will try disconnecting battery and see if that does anything, unlikely I know but will try.
