Glow plugs changing 1.4 tdi

Featured Replies

I noticed in the colder weather it's getting a bit harder to start. So the glow plugs need changing soon. It starts up fine the rest of the time.

I see the part number for NGK NGKY-741U?

There plenty of room in front of the skoda fabia 1.4 tdi engine. There people saying spray them over night with wd40 and others saying warm the engine up?

Thanks

Do both, then try tightening them slightly before loosening to break adhesion in the thread, if it's stiff, work it back and forth with some more WD.

You can test the glowplugs using a multimeter set to the Ohms scale, that way you'll only replace the ones that don't work.
