1.2L smokes when accelerating

Featured Replies

2006 Fabia 1.2L

The exhaust emits smoke under acceleration (which Im not sure if its grey or white or a mixture but theres an odour so its not just water vapour)

Im well aware it could be piston ring related however there is no warning light and no loss of power which makes me wonder if the compression and rings are fine and something else is causing it

I was spiralling down a rabbit hole in these forums about a week ago and saw something regarding a clogged hose of some description turning out to be the problem for someone else but I cant find it again for the life of me so if anyone has any suggestion of what my first steps should be then Id greatly appreciate it

Should probably add that the car is currently SORN and also Im reluctant to have to get it to a garage since its such a hassle

Cheers in advance
