DPF to Cat flex pipe

Featured Replies

The sleeve to the exhaust failed on our 2012 1.6 tdi Roomster and because the cat dropped the fixed flexi section between dpf and cat has sprung a leak. Anyone tried replacing it. I can get a custom made flex for £25 rather than forking out for a new cat and DPF. Just need to know the pipe diameters and length of the repair pipe

Measure them then!

They tend to be called an iLok and you can buy them as weld or clamp in but from memory the CAYC downpipe won’t allow a clamp in type.so we would stainless steel weld in a new one. Again from memory, you would need a 200x51 and we buy them from Exhaust Parts UK.

Thanks for that Crasher. I guess it's the short pipe eash side of the flex part that makes a clamp on not viable. Is the system stainless at the DOF/Cat end as I can't weld that with my MIG and Mt welding isn't great.

I use MIG stainless wire and BOC Argoshield, the welds require a lot of finishing though. The system is low grade stainless.
