DRL dimming (when handbrake is active)

Recommended Posts

Hi

Is it possible to get the drl to dim down the brightness when the light switch is set to park light (possibly when the handbrake is active)? As it is now, they shine with the same intensity.
I find a place in adaption where i can choose to switch off the DRL when the handbrake is active and the light switch is in 0, but this doesn't help much(although it is a nice feature)

My car is an Octavia 2020 with MK7.5 BCM. This cannot be coded with 'long coding', so adaptation must be used here

Have done this on a T6 and Caddy, but then during long coding

Park lights are Ignition off and the indicator stalk down and the  one front and one rear sidelight on.  Driver side, or passengers side, lit according to the indicator position.

Is it when Side Lights / Position lights you mean?

DRLS, Daytime / Daylight running lights to the front should not be bright when Side Lights or Sidelights and Headlights are on.

In Norway, parking lights are possibly the same as what you say are position lights (two white at the front and two red at the back) Not side lights
The DRL illuminates with the same intensity when the light switch is in position 0 and in ´park light´

@IngeKarlsenSidelights in the UK then.  Not for sitting parked or stopped at the side of the road when not moving.  But people do use them like that.

'Parking lights' on one side of the car are for when parked outside the Speed Limits and street lighting of towns.  This is our out of date Highway Code.

Newer stuff online says 'Sidelights' or parking lights must be used outwith 30 mph limits on roads and in layby,s.

Fabia Mk2 vRS has the DRL units, which then dim when on as Sidelights, or as 'Parking lights'.
