If it's not super hard or expense, I'd like to retrofit the digital cockpit into my Mk3.5 (facelift) vRS245. 

 

What parts will I need?

 

I've got the 9.2" infotainment screen and CANTON auto if that helps.

Have a search ,sasha grace on here did a full fitting guide a few years back .

The physical fitting isn’t exactly hard.

 

the hard part is you need to have the genuine ODIS diagnostic software and a GEKO security account to unlock component protection and code the immobiliser else your car won’t start.

Im more or less in the process of doing this but i wonder if i can use the cluster from a diesel in my vrs tsi?
Is it possible the code/use another skin with coding to get it suit the speed and rpm range of my petrol tsi.

I´ll make a answer to myself 😛
There is just one cluster, 5E0920790A and that can be coded to what motor it has, VRS etc.

I looked in ETKA and it just shows one cluster.
MOST cables can be had for around 40€ shipped from UK to Sweden on ebay.

If you have Canton I believe you will also need a MOST splitter as the Canton amp is connected using MOST.

Yes thats right, retrofitted columbus but had the Canton before, the splitter will be ordered upcoming week

Id love to do this, just looks like too much messing about and I'll break something (software wise)

Any updates on the post ? Got my self Octavia 2017 1.4 TSi and wanting to retrofit digital cockpit as well

It is what it is.

Thats the softwareside of it that can be tricky.
