had new egr valve

anyone have a cure please?

It's possible that it could just be a dirty contact. Try removing and spray with some wd40 and wipe it dry.

Which engine do you have, 1.4 or 1.9?

If 1.4 is it a BNM code or BNV (68 vs 79 bhp)?

1.4 3 cylinder is all I know

I think the fault code you are seeing is related to a solenoid valve that's physically separate to the EGR valve, and controls the vacuum level applied to it.

This is known as the N18 valve, and is located within a box with another valve on the driver's side above the suspension turret.  Check the wires going to this box, as the fault code suggests an electrical fault which may well not be the box itself.
