Roomster childlocks...

Recommended Posts

Hi there, the other day I went to open the rear door of the roomster from the outside and felt a little click like a bit of plastic had broken.

Sure enough, the outside handle doesn't do anything to operate the door now, and when i'm trying it I can feel some kind of movement inside - its not smooth like the opposite one.

The big problem is the door is childlocked from the inside, so I have no way of opening the door to replace the broken handle, or even disengage the childlock so that i can operate the door using the internal handle only.

Anyone had this problem? Can I remove the doorcard with the door closed and open the door to turn the childlock off and repair the handle?

Thanks!

I had this with a Touran, there are YouTube videos showing how to break-in thru the door handle but I couldn't manage it - sadly after removing all the seats I had to trash the door car card to get the door open.
