I'm looking to upgrade the basic swing radio on my 2012 Fabia, and recently attempted to fit a new head unit but it drained the battery and every solution I tried did not work. I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with any android radios from aliexpress? I was also considering buying and fitting a VW RCD 510 head unit instead, would this work?

Does this head unit NEED a permanent power supply? Can you not just try to run it on a switched supply?
