Featured Replies

Hi everyone I'm looking to upgrade my stereo to an android one but there are so many, I can guess many people have done this now, any suggestions please...

I've been thinking of getting one of these for my car, when you say it's not perfect can you be a bit more informative I would like to use it more for sat nav mainly TomTom. Thanks.

Sat-nav I haven't used, I deleted the app straight away as I always use my phones goole maps.

The notnperfect just being it's a chineese aftermarket. Not much explanation or detail on how things work. Took me a few days to figure the canbus setting etc out but now everything works fine, wheel controls, ac displays. The DAB isn't the best either.

I only wanted it for android auto tbh

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to get one and see how it goes.

The one main problem I had after installing was it wasn't switching on/off with the ignition. I found out you had to unplug a connection. I'll Try sort a picture for you to help. It had me stumped for a few days.

Thats what you need to do to make sure you dont have the problem I had.

Also take care when installing the new fascia, Try clip it in from the top down to the bottom.

Just get RCD330 and be done with it!

So I bought one of these stereos and I am really pleased with it, the same that you bought Scouserjay but not from Ebay off Amazon TomTom works ok and so does the DAB, got to try Android auto yet, had it going in no time I knew about the two pin plug that needed to be disconnected after fitting the canbus, for a cheap Chinese unit I like it.

I’d love some advice on this too actually / just bought a mk2 vrs estate 2012 and looking to replace the old Kenwood stereo that’s in it currently with something fairly decent - that can display Waze navigation, Bluetooth stream music and has some kind of EQ :) thanks!
