They weren't staying on dull yesterday when i tested them out but it was during the day, so i will check them properly at night.

Nope, they come on for pictures and that's about it, unless really really foggy.

When I did mine to LEDs I found the flashed when I used the wipers so they came out

At the moment, the quality is fine but not brilliant, though when i put the mic in, i had it facing the front window, so i need to turn the mic around and that should improve it greatly.

Finished the LEDs in the interior light and no flashing or anything:

No, they go off completely. What you can see is the yellow of the LED itself, not a glow.

I'll try to take some night shots at some point so you can see.

It's a bit of plastic shaped like > that came with the bars to help with the aerodynamics.

Or if you mean the whole thing, it's the locking and tightening mechanism.
