Gauges in Skodas

Featured Replies

I have seen quite a lot of modded skoda's over the recent months, but i'm yet to see one with any aftermarket gauges fitted in it!

Most scooby owners fit the usual boost gauge plus a few other misc gauges (oil pressure / temp usually), i have just got 2 more new ones on my a-pillar too (5 gauges in total now)

Anybody on here got a gauge pod fitted in there skud???

Cue Mr French....... ;)

Or crish, or Des (when he was still one of 'us')...

altho, skodas generally dont need guages, because they dont have a tendancy to explode:p

i have no idea what you mean :rofl2:

I must admit, i have never notice mr french's gauges before..

52mm Defis, fitted in July, just to the right of the binnacle. Boost and oil pressure (I can guess the rough temp from the pressure).

Very nice they look too! ;)

Been looking around for A-Pillar pods and good gauges. Where abouts is the best place to get them? urls please

The place that I used is www.gaugeshop.co.uk - they have pods/DIN panles aswell as an interesting range of different gauges.

Re...gauges in Octavias...

I've had 3 gauges in silver finish manufactured by Splitfire, mounted in a 3-hole panel for a MK4 Golf. This fits where the standard radio slot is, and then have had the radio dropped into the opening below. This looks well cool on my black VRS Octy. They are visible to the passer-by too!!! You dont need to be in the car to see them!! I had difficulty finding the gauge mounting panel and was referred to a company in Warrington called Awsome GTI - they also have an on-site workshop.....

Cheers

Charles

MonkeyBoy has 3 gauges in the trinket tray on a mounting plate as well. dont know the details i.e. makes etc but they do look funky.

DaveU has 3 on the dash near the windscreen doesnt he !?

wouldnt mind a nice set of gauges for mine but i havent got the 1st clue about setting them up to the car...

I only have a boost gauge fitted and i put mine where the ashtray should be cos i wanted it discreet and that way i can just pull the cover down and hide it

Here's a short video I did of my Defi BF gauges in my Leon Cupra, boost and oil temp. in a Nomad Racing A-pillar pod - these things rock!

I have a fuel pressure Defi BF in my glovebox too.
